The Whites were able to grab one back through left-back Ezgjan Alioski’s 46th-minute strike, but they couldn’t find that all-important equaliser despite recording 75.5% possession in the final 30 minutes, per WhoScored.

Several of the Elland Road faithful were left angry at the performance of Klich in the heart of midfield, with some of them taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One supporter claimed it was criminal to see the 29-year-old play the full 90 minutes while another called for him to be dropped next game.

‘Shocking,’ ‘horrible’ and ‘appalling’ were just three other words used to describe his display.

ترى صحيفة “Independent Online” الجنوب إفريقية أن مدرب الأهلي الحالي، بيتسو موسيماني، يستحق التوسل إليه من قبل اتحاد الكرة في بلدهم من أجل العودة لقيادة منتخب الأولاد.

وأعلن اتحاد جنوب إفريقيا لكرة القدم يوم أمس عن إقالة مدربه، موليفي نتسيكي، من منصبه عقب فشله في قيادة المنتخب الأول للتأهل إلى كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021.

وأكدت الصحيفة أن موسيماني هو الاسم الوحيد القادر على إعادة منتخب جنوب إفريقيا خلال السنوات المقبلة، وطالبت اتحاد الكرة أن يتواضعوا ويتوسلوا لمدرب الأهلي للعودة.

وبررت الصحيفة في تقريرها السبب أن موسيماني كان رحيله عن منتخب جنوب إفريقيا سيئ للغاية بعد فشل التأهل إلى نهائيات كأس أمم إفريقيا 2012.

ولكن تطور موسيماني مع ماميلودي صن داونز بجانب الأهلي خلال السنوات الماضية، وفوزه بأكثر من 10 ألقاب يضعه الاسم الأبرز لقيادة جنوب إفريقيا.

استطاع موسيماني في الأشهر السابقة مع الأهلي الفوز ببطولتي دوري أبطال إفريقيا وكأس مصر بالإضافة إلى برونزية كأس العالم للأندية.

ويقدر موسيماني على السيطرة على اللاعبين، حيث كانت أبرز المشاكل التي يعاني منها منتخب جنوب إفريقيا هي قوتهم التي تتفوق على قوة المدرب.

كان المدرب السابق، موليفي نتسيكي، يستدعي بعض اللاعبين الذين لا يستحقون وعلى رأسهم الحارس، إيتوميلينج خوني، ولكن أنت بحاجة إلى شخص قوي يستطيع تكوين منتخب قوي في جنوب إفريقيا وهو ما يتوفر في موسيماني.

إلى جانب قدرة موسيماني في اكتشاف النجوم، فلولاه لما ظهر لاعبين مثل بيرسي تاو في صن داونز وبعض الأسماء الأخرى، ربما لن يحقق نجاح فوري مع جنوب إفريقيا كما حدث مع الأهلي وصن داونز لكنه يستحق العودة.

أكد مدحت عبد الهادي المدرب العام السابق بفريق نادي الزمالك، أن البرتغالي جايمي باتشيكو نجح في تطوير الفريق في ولايته الثانية، كما نجح في إضافة أساليب لعب مختلفة بجانب الأسلوب الدفاعي.

وقال عبد الهادي في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “النهار” عبر برنامج “أوضة اللبس”: “رغم الخسارة أمام الأهلي كنا الأقرب للفوز ووصلنا للمرمى ونسبة الاستحواذ كانت لصالحنا، خطأ فردي كان سبب في دخول الهدف الأول من قبل الأهلي في مرمانا، وكنا نتمنى المكسب وتحقيق اللقب”.

وتطرق للحديث عن مباراة المولودية الجزائرى في دوري أبطال إفريقيا النسخة الحالية: “لو أعيدت المباراة 100 مرة لم نكن لنتعادل”.

وتابع: “رحيل مجلس إدارة الزمالك السابق كان له تأثيرًا كبيرًا على الفريق، الفترة الماضية مرتضى منصور ومجلسه صنعوا طفرة في جميع الألعاب الجماعية، والزمالك فاز ببطولتين في أسبوع، وكان كل هدف اللاعبين هو الماديات وهذا حقهم، وبعد استلام اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة الزمالك وتصريحاتهم بأنه لا يوجد أموال، تأثر اللاعبين”.

وواصل: “مصطفى محمد كان يمكنه أن ينتقل لفريق أفضل إذا لم يتعجل في قرار رحيله عن الزمالك، وجايمي باتشيكو قال إنه لا يمانع في احتراف مصطفى محمد وهذا مستقبله ولكن أريد البديل، وحدد 4 أو 5 أسماء وعلى ما أعتقد مروان حمدي كان آخر اختيار”.

وكشف: “باتشيكو طلب أول اسم حسام حسن والثاني باسم مرسي ومحمود وادي ومهاجم إنبي الإفريقي ومروان حمدي آخر اسم، والإدارة هي من رشحت مروان لباتشيكو، كما أن سيف الجزيري أبلغني بأن مسؤولي الزمالك قالوا له يمكنك أن تلعب في إفريقيا ولقد اندهشت من ذلك”.

وأردف: “نمت واستيقظت فوجدت مروان حمدي وسيف الجزيري في الملعب، ولم نكن على علم بأي شيء سواء أنا أو أشرف قاسم أو عبد الحليم علي عن بدائل مصطفى محمد عكس ما يقال في الإعلام”.

وأتم: “قيل إن كارتيرون هرب قبل مباراة الرجاء! هو لم يهرب، مرتضى منصور جلس معه وطلب منه الاستمرار مع الفريق لمدة شهر وبعد ذلك يرحل بدون دفع الشرط الجزائي وعرض عليه زيادة مالية في عقده”.

وأوضح: “كارتيرون لم يهرب لكن باتشيكو هرب، ولكن الأول ترك الفريق في وقت صعب وجلس مع الإدارة وأبلغهم بالرحيل، وعاد للزمالك مرة أخرى وضحى بعرض قوي لكي يعود”.

واستكمل متحدثًا عن فقدان الجهاز الفني السيطرة على غرفة: “مَن من مسؤولي الزمالك دخلة غرفة خلع الملابس ورأى مشاكل؟، أي لاعب حدث منه خطأ سواء بالمران أو في المباريات يتم توقيع عقوبة عليه وفقًا للائحة، ولو هناك تجاوز زائد يتم استبعاده من المعسكر مرة واثنين”.

واختتم: “أشرف بن شرقي عندما كان يسافر ويتأخر يوم عن الإجازة المحددة له من قبل باتشيكو كان يجلس احتياطي وتطبق عليه عقوبة ونفس الأمر فرجاني ساسي، ومصطفى محمد عندما كان يجلس مع اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة الزمالك كان لا يشارك في التدريبات”.

Having signed Nicolas Pepe in a club-record deal from Lille, it’s fair to say Arsenal landed one of the biggest transfers of the summer.

The Ivory Coast international was electric for the French side last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 12 assists across all competitions.

Pepe made his competitive debut for the Gunners against Newcastle, but made his first appearance in front of the Emirates faithful when he came on at half-time against Burnley.

The 24-year-old showed flashes of brilliance in his time on the pitch, and most memorably nutmegged centre-back Ben Mee with a delicious piece of skill.

A lot went wrong for Crystal Palace against Sheffield United – where do I even start?

A lack of cohesion from Roy Hodgson’s side saw the Eagles have just six shots in comparison to the Blades’ 15 attempts, in what was a truly lacklustre affair from Palace – they deserved to lose the game, without a doubt.

Before a ball had even been kicked, all eyes were on Wilfried Zaha as the Ivorian made his first start since handing in a transfer request on the eve of the deadline.

Disappointingly, the forward failed to light up Bramall Lane having had just one shot, which was off target.

You wouldn’t be forgiven for wondering how the 26-year-old’s teammates feel about Zaha and his antics in the window, but this image showing an exchange between captain Luka Milivojevic and the winger suggests that the Serbian was asking for more from the former Manchester United man.

This in-game photo showing the pair having a discussion could mean a number of things.

Is the skipper demanding more from his want-away teammate?

Is he questioning a possible lack of commitment?

The former Anderlecht man could be saying anything to the forward in this image, but it is a particularly intriguing photograph given the context of the Ivory Coast international’s current situation at the club.

Zaha really struggled to get involved against Chris Wilder’s side, embarking on just two dribbles whilst also making just a single key pass to go with his one off-target attempt, so Milivojevic could just be asking him to step up his game a tad as the skipper of the team.

Whilst that alone may be quite a bland narrative, it is more fun to speculate about the pair potentially discussing Zaha’s commitment to the side amid the dramatics of the summer transfer window – you would’ve just loved to have been a fly on the wall in the away dressing room on Sunday, wouldn’t you?

Norwich City have been hit with an injury blow as midfielder Alex Tettey has suffered a setback in his bid to come back from a calf injury.

Daniel Farke revealed the news at a press conference and revealed there was ‘a little blood’ in the calf of the Norwegian winger.

He said: “Alex had a little setback in the past week. A small calf injury. We had just planned he would be out for seven to 10 days but there is still some blood in the calf.”

“We have to get that out and we either use some traditional methods or maybe a small surgery. That is a decision to make in the next day or two. It is very rare with this injury you have to do that. It is a shame for Alex. He was looking sharp and unbelievably fit at this level. Let’s see how it develops.” (Source: Eastern Daily Press)

Tettey played a huge part for the Norfolk club last season, featuring 30 times as the club won promotion back to the Premier League. His injury leaves Norwich City with just two out-and-out defensive midfielders in the squad, which could prove problematic especially with a hard start to the season for the club.

The Norwegian was with the Canaries when they were last in the Premier League and has made 71 appearances in English football’s top flight.

An injury setback is devastating for manager Farke, especially after he revealed that the club wasn’t looking to add to their squad ahead of the transfer window closing next Thursday. Depending on the severity of the setback, Norwich may have to dip back into the market to sign another midfielder.

As mentioned above, Tettey has Premier League experience, making the second-most appearances of any player at Norwich City having made 71 appearances, behind goalkeeper Tim Krul (157).

With Norwich expecting to battle relegation next season the experience will be key. To potentially lose Tettey for the beginning of the season is a hammer blow for the club, especially with such a difficult start to the season.

According to Football FanCast sources, Marko Arnautovic asked the club to accept an offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League side. However, that bid – believed to be worth €22m (£19.7m) – has been rejected by the east Londoners.

Snodgrass signs contract extension

Midfielder Robert Snodgrass has signed a contract extension with the London outfit it was confirmed on Tuesday. His deal will now run out in 2021 but it includes the option of a further twelve months.

Now assistant manager at Villa Park, Terry turned out as a player for the club during the 2017-18 campaign before hanging up his boots.

Rangers fans aren’t keen on reports that the club are exploring the option of signing Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis this summer.
